About the Blog
I’m Daniel P. Horan, OFM a Franciscan Friar of Holy Name Province and currently teaching in the Department of Religious Studies at Siena College in New York. This blog is something that began with the encouragement of my publisher, suggesting that blogs are absolutely essential these days for authors and, really let’s face it, anybody in a variety of fields. In an age of rapid media production, it is necessary to be a contributing member of the information age.
This site is designed to be a forum for reflection on prayer, spirituality and theology in the 21st Century from a Franciscan Perspective. Additionally, it is the location for my contribution to political, social and ecclesiastical commentary. Furthermore, this blog will be a place where you can find out what I’m up to – where I can share some of my research, give you updates on lectures and workshops I may be giving. I hope you find this site to be both informative and provocative. Please comment and share – contribute yourself to the information exchange and further dialogue! Also, visit my home page www.danhoran.com.
I would be remiss if I did not mention that this blog is an independent enterprise, the contents of which do not necessarily reflect the interests, opinions or views of Holy Name Province, the Order of Friars Minor, the Catholic Church or any of the publishers of my written or recorded work. The views and opinions expressed on the pages of DatingGod.org are the sole responsibility of their author. While comments on posts are generally welcome, the views and opinions expressed in those comments remain the sole responsibility of their respective authors.
Peace and All Good!
