Not seeking to engage a long conversation about this side topic, I'm wondering if you have some credible information (e.g., Glenn Beck's chalkboard is not a credible source) such as a "New Yorker" or "New York Times" or "Wall Street Journal" source for this Soros claim to have waged "an information operation campaign against the american people?" I'm genuinely interested to know what the source of this is. Until now I've only heard it suggested by folks like Beck and other conspiracy theorists without sound investigative research. Thanks, as always, for the comments! Peace.

Nice piece and interesting and again I agree to the overall premise (hope you are sitting down). Just a couple of points or comments and the first being a reality. I am or was in the middle class (currently unemployed). When I was in the Navy, I made much less, nearly half of what I was making and I still paid taxes, and we lived comfortably. Now (at least a few months ago, I made more, paid taxes and had less disposable income (takehome pay) than I did when I was enlisted. For me that is a problem. The super-rich did get there through money management, and probably will always exist, just like scripture says there will always be poor. But, it seems that everytime taxes go up, it is usually the middleclass, because we cannot afford expensive brokerage firms to "manage" our investments, and don't have the time to research and watch them grow. While I respect Mr. Buffet's success and opinion, perhaps he would donate to the federal deficit http://www.treasurydirect.gov/govt/reports/pd/gift/gift.htm

Now, while the Kock brothers may be possibly guilty of master-minding the tea-party, I would be curious to see if the New Yorker has done or plans to do a piece highlighting Soros as the puppet-master of the current regime -- waging an information operation campaign against the AMERICAN PEOPLE -- to serve the agenda of the left. If one is to claim the Kock brothers are taking advantage of the "ignorant" masses, then same is very true of the party in charge who assended to the oval office (e.g. Acorn, etc). Fear is one of our most primal instincts, and it is used on both sides. The left uses fear that people will lose their social needs benefits (less of abortion rights), and the right uses fear of losing ones' money aka "security" through raised taxes. Both are legitimate, so what is the balance, without turning into a socialist state?

And the ulimate hypocrisy are the Hollywood types, but I digress....
