Wow, I had no idea that was so explicitly written into the Constitution! Are those words also in the Constitution for the Secular Franciscans?

And also, now I’m curious: During the draft, surely many Third Order Franciscans were drafted. What did they do? Are there any writings about them?

Dear Dan,
This is an issue that needs stirring up in every generation with the hope that some day we actually will put paper words back into action. Peacemaking and non-violence are no doubt a major reason for our ftiar minor existence and history and should be a major thrust of our friar minor ministry today. Thank you for reaching down deeply into the thisness of Franciscanism and responding to the voice of Francis.
